Sisters’ Project was founded by a small group of sisters who felt the need nurture ‘Sisterhood’ in Birmingham. We found that in the big city of Birmingham, with its large Muslim community, it was very hard to find sisters get-togethers as well as projects to join. We wanted to provide that central place for sisters to join in acts of sisterhood, supporting each other in their daily lives and in their Deen.

The project encourages women to offer their skills for the benefit of others. As a community organisation we now provide:

Food rotas and grocery support service
Household and family items support
Women’s network and business promotion support
Befriending
Emergency advice, signposting and 1-on-1 support to sisters in need
Islamic reminders, in regular social gatherings and on social media
